What will I learn?

Learning is an ongoing process, but that process isn't the same for everyone. Human Development and Family Science students acquire a broad knowledge of human development, family development and family systems in preparation for working with people and communities in a variety of career fields ranging from local organizations, to non-profit, to government agencies. The Master of Science degree in Educational Psychology at the University of North Texas focuses on research, measurement and intervention related to learning and cognition.In addition to an in-depth familiarity with research and assessment processes, our Educational Psychology program will help you develop a thorough understanding of the physical, cognitive, behavioral and social-emotional influences that affect learning. This knowledge will prepare you for a variety of leadership roles in educational and community settings. We offer coursework in four specialization areas:

Entry requirements

For international students

Beginning freshman from international high school:- Graduation from a high school recognized by the home country ministry of education, Official transcripts/diplomas (in native language and English) showing all courses and marks of final three years of secondary school Students with a cumulative unweighted high school GPA of 3.25 or higher are guaranteed admission to UNT. Students' GPAs will be standardized on a 4.0 GPA scale once transcripts are submitted. Beginning freshman from U.S. high school:- Minimum of three years and graduation from an accredited high school in the U.S., Official transcripts, showing rank in class through at least junior year, plus graduation date, U.S. graduates only. Send SAT or ACT scores
