What will I learn?

The Bachelor of Science in Artificial Intelligence (BSAI) prepares students lead in one of the fastest-growing and most transformative fields in technology. Built on more than 40 years of expertise in artificial intelligence education and research, University of Idaho’s BS in AI combines computer science, machine learning, data science, intelligent systems and responsible AI. Students are prepared for careers as AI engineers, data scientists and software developers or for advanced study in artificial intelligence and related fields. Through hands-on projects, interdisciplinary applications and industry-aligned coursework, you’ll learn how to design, develop and deploy AI systems to solve real-world problems. You’ll gain experience in machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, applied data science and ethical AI while completing a two-semester senior capstone project focused on a practical AI challenge. Your coursework will emphasize both technical expertise and responsible innovation, ensuring you know how to build intelligent systems and how those systems affect people, organizations and society.

A 2.5 grade-point average (GPA) on a 4.0 scale is required from your secondary school. You must also meet criteria for admission to university-level study in your home country.
