What will I learn?

UNF offers a B.S. in Behavioral Neuroscience for students interested in studying the biological basis of human behavior. The interdisciplinary curriculum focuses on the brain circuitry and other biological factors underlying normal and abnormal human development, cognition, perception, social interaction, mental health, and drug use. Students will gain a broad understanding of biological and psychological principles and techniques, and will acquire laboratory, research, technological and other practical skills required for further study and career opportunities in related fields. Specifically, students will be trained in a variety of behavioral, cellular and molecular, neuroanatomical, and neurobiological techniques necessary to approach questions of interest using animal and human model systems.

Entry requirements

For international students

Admissions decisions at UNF are rendered based on academic merit. The state of Florida has implemented minimum admission standards for freshman applicants to all Florida public state universities. In order to be considered, students must have a minimum 2.5 recalculated GPA on a 4.0 scale and meet minimum test score requirements.Regardless of when they graduated from high school, students applying as first-time-in-college (FTIC) applicants are required to submit either SAT, ACT and/or CLT test scores. UNF does not require the essay section of the SAT or ACT.A minimum TOEFL score of 79 internet-based (550 paper-based or 213 computer-based) A band score of 6.5 on the University of Cambridge IELTS
