The physiology concentration in Biology is designed for students interested in professions in healthcare, biomedical research or physiology and anatomy. Students in this concentration learn how bodies work and how that activity integrates with the anatomy of the organs, tissues, cells, and molecules of that body. It prepares students for medical, dental or pharmacy school, or physician assistant programs it also prepares students for graduate school programs or work in biomedical research, clinical research, or forensic or medical testing. It is also a suitable background for those interested in medically-related industries such as pharmaceutical or medical device sales, tissue donation/recovery, or MS programs for becoming a prosthetist/orthotist.

Students must have official high school or university transcripts and it must be mailed directly from your high school or university to MTSU. For guaranteed admission, applicants must have completed the recommended college preparatory courses and must present one of the following: GPA 3.0 OR.Minimum composite ACT score of 22 OR minimum SAT total score of 1100 (Evidence Based Reading, Writing and Math).If you do not meet either of the above requirements you will need: Minimum 2.7 GPA plus ACT score of 19 OR SAT score of 990 (Evidence-Based Reading or Writing and Math).
