CBU’s biomedical sciences program emphasizes human biology, pathobiology and pharmacology and includes multiple opportunities to engage in community service and leadership. It prepares students for success in graduate programs as our department sees a high level of students accepted into medical schools. Students have abundant opportunity to engage in hands-on learning and collaborative research with faculty. Our diverse, highly qualified and caring faculty is interested in helping to develop the whole person so that students will leave here as Christian scholars who can make a positive impact in our world.Graduates of CBU's biomedical sciences bachelor's program will learn to:Demonstrate competency in biology and the sciences at levels comparable to national standards. Critically analyze and discuss scientific journal articles. Critically analyze and discuss selected contemporary and/or controversial issues in biology and biomedical sciences, enabling them to be informed citizens and participants in the public debate and discourse involving these issues. Accurately convey scientific data both orally and in writing. Apply their knowledge of biology and science through participation in a focused research project and/or an internship.
