What will I learn?

Civil Engineers design the built environment – the structures, roads, water supply systems, and much more – that surrounds us. The profession is broad and encompasses several technical areas including structures, transportation, geotechnics, water resources, coastal, and environmental protection. Employment opportunities are plentiful in design, construction, management, teaching and research. Employers include consulting firms, industrial companies, and government agencies and non-governmental organizations. Civil Engineering at UNF offers an ABET accredited BS degree as well as Master's degrees. Our alumni find success in top tier companies and graduate schools across the country.

Entry requirements

For international students

Application must have completed a high school.

English Language Proficiency:

A minimum TOEFL score of 79 internet-based (550 paper-based or 213 computer-based); A minimum overall Duolingo score of 110 is recommended for admission. Individual programs may require higher scores and all sub scores will be considered; A score of 3 on the College Board Advanced Placement – International English Language (AP-IEL); AP grades range from 5 high to 1 low; 3 equals “Qualified”; or A band score of 6.5 on the University of Cambridge IELTS (International English Language Testing System); band scores range from 9 high to 1 low; 6.5 lies between 6 “competent user” and 7 “good user.”
