The Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering provides a high-quality education by balancing the theoretical and experimental aspects of hardware and software issues. The degree provides excellent job prospects in the engineering and technology sectors. Students in the Computer Science and Engineering doctoral program have the opportunity to dive deeper into artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, software engineering, natural language processing and other research areas that contribute to the community and global needs. The skills developed in this program give students the ability to create a real-world impact within their community. The grad track program allows students to take advanced classes while they work on completing their bachelor's degree, which can save them.The Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering provides an educational program that is high quality, academically challenging and career-enriching by maintaining a balance between theoretical and experimental aspects of computer engineering, as well as a core competency in the fundamental aspects of an engineering-oriented paradigm.The degree further seeks to provide curricula that serve the citizens and industrial organizations in the United States and Texas in general and those in North Texas in particular.The bachelor of science in Computer Engineering has been ABET-accredited since 2006 and educates students about engineering computer software to interact with computer systems and hardware components.The department facilitates a collegial atmosphere that is conducive to the intellectual and scholarly pursuits of the faculty and students. The department strongly encourages interdisciplinary research.The program of study for the doctoral degree with a major in computer science and engineering includes formal course work, independent study and research. The purpose of the degree is to produce a professional capable of directing and conducting research within the discipline of computer science and engineering.

Entry requirements

For international students

Beginning freshman from international high school:- Graduation from a high school recognized by the home country ministry of education, Official transcripts/diplomas (in native language and English) showing all courses and marks of final three years of secondary school Students with a cumulative unweighted high school GPA of 3.25 or higher are guaranteed admission to UNT. Students' GPAs will be standardized on a 4.0 GPA scale once transcripts are submitted. Beginning freshman from U.S. high school:- Minimum of three years and graduation from an accredited high school in the U.S., Official transcripts, showing rank in class through at least junior year, plus graduation date, U.S. graduates only. Send SAT or ACT scores
