The Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems prepares you to plan, design, and optimize scalable software systems, mobile applications, and beyond for use in today’s rapidly evolving business environments. To achieve these competencies, our program combines the advantages of a traditional liberal arts college education with the benefits of hands-on training in state-of-the-art computer technology. The Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems at NEC is ideal for students who have a technical inclination and an interest in the theory, practice, art, and science of computer systems and programming. If you wish to pursue an accelerated Bachelor and Master of Science in Computer Information Systems, you can apply to participate in our accelerated program. Under this program, undergraduate students complete 12 MS-CIS credit hours while pursuing their bachelor’s degree. These credit hours will count as required hours for both the BS and MS degree, allowing you to complete a BS and MS in 148 credits instead of 160.

Entry requirements

For international students

Official secondary school transcript or records (with English translation if necessary). Copy of a valid passport. New England College recognizes the IB curriculum as a challenging academic program that provides excellent preparation for university study. In most cases, credits are awarded for a minimum score of 5 on Standard Level (SL) exams and minimum score of 4 on Higher Level (HL). Additionally, students who earn an IB diploma in English can have their English Proficiency Score waived.A maximum of 30 credits may be awarded for IB.
