What will I learn?

The Computer Science program focuses on the intricacies and design principals of sophisticated computing systems such as compilers, operating systems, algorithm analysis and design, and artificial intelligence. The curriculum contains a significant component of math and science courses. Graduates of the program will be prepared to create new technologies that apply to a wide variety of application areas. Systems Engineer and Systems Programmer are typical titles for the first job of the program's graduates.The Bachelor of Science in Computer Science requires 120 total credits.All courses must be completed with a grade of C or better unless noted otherwise.Once enrolled at UNF, all remaining prerequisite courses and major/minor requirements must be completed at UNF.Satisfactory Progress PolicyThe School of Computing enforces the "one repeat" rule for all prerequisite and core courses offered by the School for its major programs.

Entry requirements

For international students

Admissions decisions at UNF are rendered based on academic merit. The state of Florida has implemented minimum admission standards for freshman applicants to all Florida public state universities. In order to be considered, students must have a minimum 2.5 recalculated GPA on a 4.0 scale and meet minimum test score requirements.Regardless of when they graduated from high school, students applying as first-time-in-college (FTIC) applicants are required to submit either SAT, ACT and/or CLT test scores. UNF does not require the essay section of the SAT or ACT.A minimum TOEFL score of 79 internet-based (550 paper-based or 213 computer-based) A band score of 6.5 on the University of Cambridge IELTS
