What will I learn?

The Lamar University Bachelor of Science in Construction Management will prepare you to ensure that construction projects are completed on time and on budget without sacrificing the quality of work or the safety of your workers. From design to completion, you will work through the entire process of turning a blueprint into reality. As cities grow, so does both the demand for construction managers and the career potential of our graduates. Build hospitals, universities or refineries from an office chair or on-site – the possibilities are as varied as your interests. This program is ideal for problem-solvers, great communicators and people who like a different job site day-to-day or like to travel. We place 100% of our graduates into jobs right away with an average salary of USD 74,000 (since 2021). Each year we present a job fair to keep you apprised of career pathways and job openings, and every program includes feedback from high-level construction executives in your chosen area. You can work for some of the largest companies in the region and the nation including Turner Industries, Mason, Sundt, Bo-Mac, SpawGlass and various specialty industrial and infrastructure contractors.
