Solve Today’s Most Pressing Environmental Challenges Some of the biggest challenges facing mankind today are directly connected to the state of the environment. These include climate change the contamination of air, water and soil by countless pollutants and aging infrastructure for treating water and wastewater. To solve these critical issues, well-trained environmental engineers are urgently needed. The Bachelor of Science program in Environmental and Sustainable Engineering (ESE) at the University at Albany will prepare and equip you to become a professional environmental engineer who is able to tackle local and global environmental issues through creative and innovative approaches.
