What will I learn?

Students seeking a license to teach a foreign language in secondary schools (grades 6-12) must complete (1) a major in the language they intend to teach (2) FL 4500 Introduction to Teaching Foreign Languages (3) a minor and (4) the Secondary Education Minor. Each student must pass an oral interview in the target language at the high intermediate level.

Entry requirements

For international students

Students must have official high school or university transcripts and it must be mailed directly from your high school or university to MTSU. For guaranteed admission, applicants must have completed the recommended college preparatory courses and must present one of the following: GPA 3.0 OR.Minimum composite ACT score of 22 OR minimum SAT total score of 1100 (Evidence Based Reading, Writing and Math).If you do not meet either of the above requirements you will need: Minimum 2.7 GPA plus ACT score of 19 OR SAT score of 990 (Evidence-Based Reading or Writing and Math).
