What will I learn?

The Spanish concentration in the Bachelor of Sciences and Bachelor of Arts in Foreign Languages is offered through the College of Liberal Arts at MTSU.The ability to speak and understand another language or languages opens countless doors and expands one view of the world. Each of our concentrations offers multiple opportunities for immersive study abroad. Spanish: The second-most widely spoken language in the world, Spanish opens as many doors in the United States as it does in any of the 21 countries in which it the official language. Few other foreign languages enable its bilingual speakers to so immediately connect, interact and discover opportunities (both professional and personal) in the world around them. A major in Foreign Languages with a Spanish concentration consists of 39 semester hours (excluding 1010) and must include at least 20 hours of upper-division work.
