What will I learn?

The purpose of the Health Sciences program, specifically through an identified area of concentration, will help students recognize and meet specific entrance requirements for health-related degree programs at the master’s or doctoral level as they complete a Christ-centered curriculum that is intentionally written and integrated to create servant leaders in their respective callings. Careers in the fields of physical therapy, occupational therapy, athletic training, and chiropractic care are marked by service. Future doctors and practitioners in these areas are involved with the delivery of services pertaining to the identification, evaluation, prevention, and/or treatment of certain injuries, ailments, and disorders. The Bachelor of Science degree in Health Sciences at Dallas Baptist University will provide students with the knowledge and skills to feel confident in their preparation as the next steps are taken toward service in their respective professional context.

Entry requirements

For international students

Students should submit official school records with a minimum 2.5 GPA on the US 4-point scale. Official school records not in English must be accompanied by a word-for-word translation to English. The translation is not required to be certified.

  • IELTS (Academic) - Overall Band: 6.0 (No section band lower than 5.0)

  • DET - 100 (No sub score lower than 90)
  • High School Exams: SAT - 500; IB exam - 5; AP exam - 3.0; KCSE (Kenya) - B
  • Graduate Admission Exams (good for 5 years after test date): GRE - 32nd Percentile (%) and above; GMAT - 425
