What will I learn?

The courses in the Early Childhood Professions concentration prepare students for careers in early childhood education as well as professional work with children across a variety of settings, including working with children with disabilities in healthcare settings and community agencies. This concentration focuses on early childhood development from birth to eight years old and is the preferred choice for students interested in early childhood education careers that do not require teacher licensure, for students who will pursue a graduate degree and licensure in childhood education, and those interested in combining this concentration with another concentration in pre-health, prevention and intervention sciences, or leadership and advocacy professions. The curriculum incorporates courses from several disciplines that focus on early childhood development, education, inclusion, and professional skills.

Entry requirements

For international students

Students need to submit their most-recent transcripts or mark sheets. If a record is not in English, a certified literal English translation must accompany the official transcript. Only transcripts sent directly from the school or stamped and sealed are considered official. Admissions decisions are provisional until we receive your final transcript verifying graduation. In general, students with a 3.0+ GPA (on a 4.0 scale) and a steady or upward trend in grades are admitted to CSU.

*There may be different IELTS requirements depending on your chosen course.
