Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering

USA

What will I learn?

A baccalaureate degree in Industrial Engineering is offered by the Department of Industrial Engineering and Management Systems. Industrial Engineering focuses on the design, improvement and integration of systems, products and processes. Our program is designed on a foundation in mathematics, science and engineering basics leading to developing knowledge and understanding of systems modeling and optimization, quality, lean operations, supply chain and human applications in industry, business, health systems, services and government. Industrial Engineers work to continuously improve the design of systems, processes, or products. They design systems that translate a specific product design into a physical reality in the most productive manner and with the highest possible quality. In doing so, the industrial engineer deals with decisions regarding the utilization of people, materials, machines, and automation (including robotics). Industrial engineers are also skilled in Engineering Economic Analysis and Information Management since they are generally considered to be the natural interface between the technical specialist and management.
