What will I learn?

The mass communications program at SIUE prepares students to succeed in careers in one of the fastest growing and most dynamic areas: the mass media.A media production specialization prepares students to create compelling audio and visual content across multiple platforms. Students gain hands-on experience in media storytelling, sound design, video editing, and digital production while working with industry-standard equipment and software. From pre-production planning to post-production editing, the program emphasizes practical skills and creative storytelling that prepare students to produce professional media for film, podcasts, social media, and digital platforms.
