What will I learn?

The B.S. program in Middle-Level Science Education helps you build the knowledge and skills to teach science in grades 6–8 and effectively support multilingual learners. Through hands-on science coursework, field experiences, and mentorship, you will build strong content knowledge and learn strategies for making science accessible and exciting for multilingual learners. You’ll explore topics in biology, chemistry, physical science, and astronomy while gaining valuable experience teaching in diverse, real-world classrooms.

Entry requirements

For international students

Students must have official high school or university transcripts and it must be mailed directly from your high school or university to MTSU. For guaranteed admission, applicants must have completed the recommended college preparatory courses and must present one of the following: GPA 3.0 OR.Minimum composite ACT score of 22 OR minimum SAT total score of 1100 (Evidence Based Reading, Writing and Math).If you do not meet either of the above requirements you will need: Minimum 2.7 GPA plus ACT score of 19 OR SAT score of 990 (Evidence-Based Reading or Writing and Math).
