What will I learn?

Virtual technology is transforming the way we live, work and learn. University of Idaho’s Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in virtual technology and design (VTD) program is unique in the Pacific Northwest. Learning artistic, creative and technical skills, you will combine those skills and gain an in-depth knowledge of digital technology through hands-on production, collaboration and presentation. Design problem-solving and solutions result in the creation of digital applications and art that answer important questions and spearhead innovations for agriculture, fighting wildfires, water management and rural communities. Alongside faculty, you’ll research and develop projects including energy distribution, training the workforce for high tech industries using Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) and utilizing digital twin technology.
