Florida Tech's Ph.D. in biomedical engineering program provides students with the advanced knowledge and research methodologies needed for this exciting career.The Ph.D. in biomedical engineering program is collaborative, students working side-by-side with professors, doctors and medical professionals to stay on the leading edge of industry advancements. Faculty members are involved in biomedical research topics and are experts in mechanical and aerospace engineering, chemical engineering, electrical and computer engineering, and computer science.

Entry requirements

For international students

Applicants must have earned a cumulative GPA of 3.2 in prior graduate coursework in order to be considered for admission to a Florida Tech doctoral degree program. The applicant will typically have a bachelors or masters degree in biomedical engineering or its equivalent. Applicants with degrees in other fields of engineering, science or mathematics may be required to successfully complete preparatory undergraduate coursework before starting the program.
