STEM-classified degree: graduates are eligible for 3 years of Optional Practical Training (OPT) in the USA. Students have the opportunity to do research alongside faculty who are experts in bio/imaging/ clinical/population health informatics. The Bachelor of Science program in biomedical informatics and data science teaches students how to use health care data to make educated predictions about the spread of disease and infection in order to pinpoint the origin of contamination. Additionally, students learn methods for automatic detection of health events, assessment of a person's health and forecasting adverse health outcomes.
