By selecting the Special Education K-12 Emotional Impairment Endorsement - Secondary Major you will earn a Bachelor of Science that leads to a secondary education teaching certificate with a K-12 Emotional Impairment (SE) endorsement. You will also choose a teachable minor. You will learn the skills necessary for designing, implementing, and monitoring academic, behavioral, and mental health interventions that allow youth with internalizing and externalizing behavioral impairments to succeed in educational settings as well as the transition to independent adult living. You will also be eligible to teach grades 6-12 in the subject area of your chosen minor. As a student in this program you can take advantage of all that the College of Education has to offer. You may seek advising, apply for scholarships, and participate in activities both in Special Education, the home department for their major, and in the Department of Teacher Education.
