Certificate in Digital Fabrication and Design

The Certificate in Digital Fabrication and Design is open to all students seeking a bachelor’s degree from UWM, to students who previously received a Bachelor’s degree from UWM or any other accredited college or university, and to people who do not plan to pursue a college or university degree (non-degree students), but who have a strong interest in this subject area. To be admitted to the University as non-degree students, individuals must meet regular university admission requirements. Students completing the certificate not in conjunction with a degree are not eligible for financial aid.This certificate is designed to give students an understanding of the software environments, materials, and equipment used in 2D and 3D digital fabrication excluding architectural scale. The certificate is for students in any major at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, but specifically for Art & Design students who wish to complement their major with an additional concentration in Digital Fabrication.
