As the healthcare system expands and evolves, there is an increasing need for skilled medical coders and billers. This certificate prepares you to meet the growing need by providing the necessary knowledge and skills. It is based on the core health professions courses in the Allied Health Education department, with the addition of supplemental specialty skill courses. These include courses in electronic coding, legal requirements in medical documentation, and more. No previous experience is required to enter the program.
