Our Master of Arts program provides a broad array of courses that range from the development of hands-on skills to the exploration of theory, to a focus on practice and application, and analysis of state-of-art research. Members of our faculty are experts in their fields who provide an enriching education in the theory, research, practice, and art of communication. The department offers masters level work with emphases in Communication Studies, Journalism, Media Arts and Studies (admissions for the MAS concentration are suspending pending program changes), Public Relations & Organizational Communication (both resident and online degree options, starting in Fall 2022), and Dispute Resolution (MA in DR currently not accepting new applications).
