The Doctor of Audiology at Lamar University prepares you for work in a variety of settings including private clinics, hospitals, nursing homes, public schools, special needs institutions, patient homes and rehabilitation centers. CareerCast.com lists audiology as one of its top 20-rated careers for 2017, citing very low stress and very good projected growth. This program offers comprehensive academic, research and clinical experience in a wide variety of settings. The Au.D. program opened in 2005, replacing the long-standing Master of Audiology degree program.
