This program engages faculties from the Khoury College of Computer Sciences, the College of Engineering, and the College of Social Sciences and Humanities. It prepares students from diverse backgrounds and interests to advance the reliability and security of cyberspace as researchers, faculty members, and policy advisors.In addition to focusing on using technology to address global threats, the program investigates how law, policy, and human behavior influence the design and implementation of security measures. Whether your background and interests are in academia, industry, or government, you’ll graduate as a high-demand professional ready for a successful career.Our program is affiliated with the International Secure Systems Lab, a collaboration between European and US researchers focused on web security, malware and vulnerability analysis, intrusion detection, and other computer security issues. We are also the lead institution in the ALERT Center, a multi-university Department of Homeland Security Center of Excellence involved in research, education, and technology related to threats from explosives.
