What will I learn?

Epidemiology focuses on understanding the determinants and prevention of disease, on the role of environmental factors in health and disease and how the administration of health programs can help implement this understanding. We offer academic programs and research opportunities to help you understand disease causes, preventions and the best way to implement this knowledge to improve public health.

Entry requirements

For international students

All students are evaluated based on all of the submitted materials. Students who are close to any of these cutoffs will be considered in the context of all of their accomplishments.

  • A bachelors degree from an accredited college or university; masters degree preferred
  • GPA of 3.0

Additional requirements for international applicants
 

  •  
    • Students coming from a U.S. school can use an older score
  • Completion of a college-level algebra or calculus course (with a minimum grade of C)
  • Completed coursework in the following subjects is highly recommended:
    • Biology
    • Health-related science (anatomy, microbiology or physiology)
    • Chemistry
    • Behavioral sciences, including a course in sociology or social psychology, and a course in anthropology, psychology, political science or economics
