Our Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA) combines intellectual rigor, a springboard for career advancement and a professional network. With a DBA degree from DePaul, you’ll take your career to the next level-in the corporate world or higher education. ​The Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA) is designed for highly experienced professionals who seek to take their career to the highest level. The three-year program is designed for working professionals with a previous master's degree in a business or business-related discipline. The ideal candidate will enter the program with significant business acumen gained through eight to 10 years of managerial or consultative experience. Candidates for the DBA will learn to frame complex business problems in a manner that enables an applied, evidence-based analysis of all available data and rigorous evaluation of potential solutions.

Entry requirements

For international students

Applicants are required to have completed an MBA or master's degree. Candidates for the Doctorate in Business Administration must fill out an online application and submit the following: Two letters of recommendation submitted directly by the letter writers. Please identify the letter writers in the online application. We strongly encourage your letters of recommendation to evaluate attributes that make you a strong candidate for doctoral education at DePaul, such as intellectual curiosity, educational aptitude, professional maturity, teamwork, collegiality, persistence and/or conscientiousness. A personal statement, not to exceed 1.5 pages, outlining professional and research goals. Current resume. Official transcripts for bachelor's and master's degrees. Both degrees must be from regionally accredited universities.
