What will I learn?

The Accelerated Dual-Degree BS/MS in Accounting (3plus1) program enables students to become highly trained accountants in 4 years, and provides a streamlined route to help you meet the 150-hour education requirement to become a CPA.Our Accelerated Dual-Degree BS/MS in Accounting (31) program offers you the unique opportunity to earn a bachelor‘s and master‘s degree in 4 years, while also completing the 150 hours of classroom study required to become a Certified Public Accountant. The program offers the same quality education you would expect from the traditional 5-year approach, and also offers fixed tuition throughout your 4 years.The undergraduate component provides a foundation in the principles, concepts and technical practices of accounting. This prepares you for your fourth year, when you‘ll begin taking in-depth, graduate-level courses in advanced accounting skills and theory. This is meant to help prepare you for the CPA exam and for a productive career.Accelerated dual-degree students have access to the same internship and study abroad opportunities found in the traditional bachelor‘s and master‘s programs. You also can take advantage of networking events and career fairs that bring representatives from the Big-4, international, regional and local CPA firms, in addition to employers from financial services firms, investment banks, various other companies, regulatory agencies, and not-for-profits.

Entry requirements

Admission into the dual-degree program is competitive. Only students who have earned at least 75 credits with an overall GPA of 3.0 are considered. Meeting the minimum criteria for consideration does not guarantee admission.

Acceptable standardized tests to demonstrate English proficiency include:

IELTS (International English Language Test System) - minimum score: 6.5

TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) - minimum score: 550 (pBT)/85 (iBT)

DUOLINGO - minimum score: 105

PTE - minimum score: 57

Cambridge B2 First, C1 Advanced or C2 Proficiency - minimum score: 176
