Your journey to a successful career in the mechanical engineering field begins with the Five-year BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering program at Western New England University. In your five years of study in the program, you will earn both degrees in less time than it would take to earn them separately, saving you tuition. You will focus your undergraduate study in a green, mechanical, or manufacturing concentration, and your master’s level work will address the enhancement and development of skills and knowledge in these fields. Students in the program will need to complete a total of 153 credit hours to earn a BS in their engineering field and an MS in Mechanical Engineering degree. You will take four core courses in Engineering Management or Project Management, Quality Engineering, Design of Experiments, and System Integration. At the completion of these 12 credits, you will then choose an advisor and course of study for the remainder of your education. Your choices include an all-course option a project option, which includes advanced coursework and a final presented project and a thesis option, that involved advanced coursework and a thesis with presentation.
