What will I learn?

The Illinois State University Graduate Pathway program in Actuarial Science will prepare you to enter your next semester of a master’s degree program at Illinois State University. Upon successful completion of the Pathway program and meeting university requirements for graduate admission, you may enter your next semester of study at Illinois State University. A Pathway program provides academic, language and cultural support in order to succeed at a US university. Students will benefit from fully integrated classes with both domestic and other international students on campus while learning from highly trained university instructors and tutors.

Entry requirements

For international students

Age Requirement- 17Academic Requirements- Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 2.5 GPA out of 4.0. A background in mathematics showing the following: 3 semesters of calculus with a grade of B or better; 1 semester of linear algebra; 4 quantitative courses above the calculus/linear algebra level. Students who have completed 2-3 of the 4 quantitative mathematics courses needed for admission may be eligible for admission through the 2-Semester Pathway program. The remaining prerequisite courses will be taken during the 1st semester of Pathway, in the place of core courses towards the MS degree.
