What will I learn?

Health care is a team effort. It requires collaboration between providers and patients to deliver the best possible care. You'll learn how to assess the complex needs of patients, use resources to support patients and their families, and help individuals maximize health outcomes. The BS program in health care coordination prepares students to effectively coordinate resources to optimize individual health outcomes.Through coursework, students build a thorough understanding of health care systems, community and public health, community resources, health education and health advocacy.The program emphasizes patient advocacy and education, the resources available from community and public health services, and the role of health policy and financing in modern health care.Graduates of the program are prepared to work with an interdisciplinary team to use resources, provide health education and advocate for the patient when it is needed the most.

Entry requirements

For international students

Youre considered a first-year student if you graduated from a regionally accredited high school or earned your GED, and you never attended college or have fewer than 12 transferable college credit hours.

First-year students must have a 3.00 grade point average (GPA) (a "B" or better where "A"=4.00) from a secondary school.

English proficiency

TOEFL iBT (internet-based test) - the minimum score is 61 (iBT)

TOEFL pBT (paper-based test) - minimum score is 57

International English Language Testing System (IELTS) - The overall band score requirement for the academic test is at least 6.0.

Pearson Test of English (PTE) - ASU requires a score of at least 53.

Duolingo English test - minimum score of 95.

Application deadline: Spring - November 1; Fall - May 1.

*There may be different IELTS requirements depending on your chosen course.
