Health Communication (Graduate Certificate)

The Communication Department, in collaboration with other WSU departments, offers a graduate certificate program in health communication. The program is designed to provide research-based professional study for graduate students in communication, public health, nursing, sociology, social work, and other health or health-related disciplines, as well as professionals practicing in the interdisciplinary field of health and health services, such as nurses, social workers, dietitians, physical therapists, pharmacists, and doctors.The Certificate allows maximum six credits to count toward both the Certificate and a relevant MA in the department when a student is enrolled in both the G.C. and M.A. programs concurrently. Transfer of credit from other institutions may not be applied toward the credits required for the certificate.
