What will I learn?

Human-Centered AI is a methodology for building AI systems that prioritizes human well-being and autonomy, ensuring that technology empowers rather than replaces or diminishes individuals. The Certificate in Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence (HCAI), offered by the School of Information, offers students a fundamental overview of AI technologies, focusing on practical applications, ethics and governance, and policy. The program is designed to equip students with the skills to critically assess AI’s societal implications while providing them with hands-on experience in the tools and techniques essential to human-centered AI development.
