When you earn a Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree in Industrial & Manufacturing Engineering at UWM, you’ll benefit from our long-standing collaborations with the region’s historically strong manufacturing community, many of whom offer well-paid internships, co-ops, and work with our students on classroom projects. Plus, you’ll also have access to a next-gen factory located on campus, a testbed where you can virtually simulate solutions to common manufacturing challenges and execute those solutions physically.Industrial & Manufacturing Engineering is an operations and optimization science, focused on productivity, quality and continuous improvement of all business operations from acquisition of raw materials/resources to delivery of finished products/services to customers. Industrial & Manufacturing Engineering is among the most far-reaching disciplines of engineering. Industrial and Manufacturing Engineers work in diverse industries within both the public and private sectors. Because of the flexibility and value of industrial engineering skills, employment opportunities are numerous and diverse.

Entry requirements

For international students

All applicants whose native language is not English must provide proof of English proficiency in one of the following ways:An approved test score that meets the requirement for admission.University study: Completion of at least 18 months of full-time, for-credit academic study (approximately three semesters) at a recognized or accredited institution of higher education whose language of instruction is English immediately prior to enrollment at UWM.Secondary/high school study: Proof of completion of the last two years of secondary/high school at an institution whose language of instruction is English immediately prior to enrollment at UWM.
