What will I learn?

Information technology at St. John's University is a professional curriculum built upon a liberal arts core leading to the Bachelor of Science degree. The information technology major, offered to both day and evening students, is designed to provide both a comprehensive education leading to careers in technical and managerial positions, such as software architect/developer, network security analyst, database manager, IT infrastructure engineer, and information security specialist. The degree provides solid preparation for further academic and professional study in computer science and decision sciences. The Tobin M.B.A. curriculum gives the student a deeper understanding of management problems and the business firm’s position in the economic structure of society. The Peter J. Tobin College of Business was one of the first colleges in the region to gain specialized accreditation by AACSB International for its accountancy program.
