What will I learn?

The Computer Engineering MS degree program is a course of study intended to prepare individuals whose undergraduate background is in computer or electrical engineering for advanced professional work in the field and for further study leading to the doctorate. The MS degrees offered by the School of Engineering at University of Bridgeport are classified by ICE (US Immigration and Customs Enforcement) as STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) degrees. Therefore, all international students who earn an MS degree are eligible for twelve (12) months of OPT (Optional Practical Training) and at the end of the twelve months of OPT, the student and the company the student works for, can apply for an extension of 24 additional months of work, as long as the company is an E-Verify company. In summary, a graduate with an MS degree can work under OPT in the USA for a total of 36 months.

Bachelors degree in engineering or a related STEM field from an accredited university or recognized international institution Recommended cumulative undergraduate GPA of 2.90 or higher Application Official transcript for the last degree earned To be considered for a scholarship, you must submit transcripts from each institution attended In certain cases, the GRE can be waived based on previous academic performance. After submitting your application and all other required documents, you may be admitted without the GRE or our admissions staff will contact you if the GRE is required for a decision.
