What will I learn?

Today’s organizations face ransomware ecosystems, supply chain compromise, cloud misconfiguration, and AI-enabled attacks such as automated phishing and deepfakes. Generative AI and offensive automation are accelerating the scale and sophistication of cyber incidents, requiring defenders who can adapt just as rapidly. At the same time, expanding regulatory and disclosure requirements demand leaders who can translate technical events into sound governance and executive decision-making. The Katz School’s master’s in cybersecurity-ranked among the Best Master’s in Cybersecurity by Fortune Magazine-prepares you to secure critical systems, respond to emerging risks, and lead cybersecurity programs in a field defined by constant technological and organizational change. You’ll develop the technical depth and leadership judgment required to design, operate, and continuously improve security programs. Through immersive Security Operations Center (SOC) labs and applied projects, you’ll work directly with current security technologies, realistic datasets and adversary techniques across cloud, enterprise, and hybrid environments. You’ll also assess risk, harden infrastructure and detect intrusions, and lead incident response under real-world constraints where data is imperfect, threats evolve quickly and decisions carry consequences. The curriculum integrates hands-on technical training with AI-aware defense strategies, preparing you to manage cybersecurity operations and guide cross-functional teams with confidence.
