What will I learn?

Materials Science and Engineering is a key component of the scientific and technical workforce in industry. Materials Science and Engineering (M.S.E.) is central to materials and manufacturing, and has many crossovers into sectors such as pharmaceutical, biomedical, petroleum, and energy. Abundant job opportunities for M.S.E. graduate students exist in government, industry, and academia, with the focus on materials, defense, pharmaceuticals, and energy production. Our M.S. in Material Science and Engineering program provides hands-on training in M.S.E. through advanced coursework and thesis research. A non-thesis track is available that provides only advanced coursework but includes laboratory training.
