What will I learn?

The master’s program in Pharmaceutical Management aims to train graduates to solve the many challenges facing the pharmaceutical industry, ranging from the need to lower drug development costs, to optimizing manufacturing and distribution costs, to managing supply chains for branded, generic and over-the-counter (OTC) products. Graduates will design and build solutions which combine systems management knowledge and a knowledge of pharmaceutical industry methods and processes. The MS program in Pharmaceutical Management (MSPhM) is designed to train and educate professionals for careers in the pharmaceutical industry by providing them with skills in the areas of quantitative systems analysis, planning and design of pharmaceutical process operations, and project management and implementation, relative to all technology intensive operations in this highly sophisticated industry. Application areas will include manufacturing operations, systems automation, packing and distribution, quality control and regulatory compliance, process and product validation, and supply chain management. Offered by the Department of Industrial and Management Systems Engineering in collaboration with the Pharmaceutical Engineering program, degree integrates a strong focus on technical oriented operations management with advanced knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing, validation, research and development processes.

Entry requirements

For international students

To be considered for a master's program at NJIT, you must have completed a four-year accredited Bachelor's degree, or its equivalent, and demonstrate strong academic achievement in an appropriate discipline. The Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), Duolingo or the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is required for all international applicants not holding a degree from a United States post-secondary institution.
