What will I learn?

The Master in Industrial Engineering (MIE) degree program is a coursework-based program that provides graduate-level education in the broad field of industrial engineering. Students in the MIE program do not need to complete a research thesis.

Entry requirements

For international students

All graduate students are required to provide proof of the attainment of a Bachelors degree before enrolling at the University of Houston.

The Cullen College of Engineering requires a minimum of 3.0/4.0 G.P.A. over the last 60 semester hours or 90-quarter hours for the admission to the graduate programs.

Students who transfer from another graduate program must have at least a 3.0/4.0 G.P.A. on all graduate work completed.
