What will I learn?

The Master in Innovation Design (MID) from Wichita State merges arts, science, and technology curricula, creating opportunities for students and faculty to collaborate across WSU’s colleges. The MID program nurtures students’ design-thinking skills, building the ability to develop creative solutions, communicate effectively, apply entrepreneurial principals and develop prototypes. At Wichita State, applied learning is everything. Entry requirements

For international students

Achieved a grade point average of at least 2.750 from a U.S. institution, or its equivalent from a foreign institution, and no background deficiencies in the desired field of graduate study. Students with background deficiencies may be admitted on a conditional basis. In certain instances, the GPA may be based on the last 60 credit hours of coursework (or nearest semester or term break to this). Many departments require a higher minimum grade point average.To be considered for admission, applicants will be required to apply online beginning at the Graduate School application website1. The online application will require uploading copies of official transcripts of all schools previously attended, as well as submitting the nonrefundable application fee.Applicants are given the opportunity to include in their application any credentials they believe represent their accomplishments and help explain why they wish to join the MID program. Additional application materials will be uploaded through the online application portal, and may include but are not limited to:Documentation of prior learning or experience relevant to design;Examples of prior design work in whatever format best showcases that work (e.g., a portfolio of artwork);A video of a performance;Links to software applications;Descriptions of products developed;Published articles or reports.
