What will I learn?

The UNO Graduate Athletic Training Program (ATP) is an entry-level athletic training education program, intended for students that have completed a prior Bachelor's Degree but are not eligible to take the Board of Certification Examination. This program is not a post-professional program and is not intended for students that have graduated from a CAATE-Accredited Program. Students that complete the ATP will earn a Master of Arts in Athletic Training. Successful completion of this program provides the eligibility to sit for the Board of Certification Examination. This is a full-time graduate program (including summers) and requires considerable clinical experience as part of the requirements for graduation. This program starts in the second summer session (mid-July). Students will obtain most of their clinical hours as part of the course requirements in the athletic training education program. Students will be expected to obtain clinical experience hours over six semesters (summer, fall, spring 2 full years).
