At Roosevelt University, our Master's in Clinical Health Health Counseling (CMHC) degree prepares people like you to be the caring, constructive counselors our communities need. The program satisfies the academic requirements for licensure as a professional counselor (LPC) and later, clinical professional counselor (LCPC) in the state of Illinois. It also meets the academic requirements for the national certification in mental health counseling (CCMHC) and national counselor certification (NCC). This full-time, 3-year program consists of in-person classes on the Chicago campus. Part-time options are available. Admissions are open for fall start dates. Entry requirements

For international students

Students are admitted only for the fall term at the Chicago campus. For priority consideration, the deadline to apply is March 1. For regular consideration, the deadline is rolling until two weeks before the start of the fall semester. If you are interested in applying for a graduate assistantship, your program application must be received by March 1. Bachelor's degree required, Minimum GPA of 2.7 on a 4.0 scale, Personal statement outlining goals and aspirations, Admission interview (by invitation only; invitation follows submitting your written materials), Decisions will be based on prior academic performance, current academic performance, the personal statement, and an evaluation of professional skills and dispositions.
