What will I learn?

Get a comprehensive look at communication and business-and how they intersect. When you pair Suffolk University's Master of Arts in Communication (MAC) with a concentration in integrated marketing communication, you'll take your graduate studies to the next level.
Using the new technologies in our video studios, social media lab, and fully networked classrooms, you’ll put cutting-edge communications techniques into practice. At Suffolk, you won’t just read about integrated marketing communication you’ll be equipped to demonstrate how it can improve an organization’s branding and visibility.
Taking courses through our MBA program, you can choose courses on marketing, international marketing, consumer behavior, and the social media business. You’ll also take communication courses in marketing communication research, advertising, public relations, crisis communication, and social media. By the time you graduate, you’ll be ready for professional success in advertising and public relations, corporate and nonprofit marketing, crisis management, awareness marketing, and more.

Entry requirements

For international students

Students enrolling in graduate programs must have a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university in the United States, or an equivalent degree granted by an institution in another country (as determined by the Office of Graduate Admission).

English language requirements

Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). Suffolk welcomes both the TOEFL iBT and TOEFL Essentials. To be considered for full admission, a minimum TOEFL iBT score of 80, with no sub-score lower than 17, or a minimal TOEFL Essentials overall band score of 8.5, with no subsection below 8, is required; International English Language Testing System (IELTS). A minimum score of 6.5 (with no sub-score below 6.0) is required to be considered for full admission. PTE-Academic (Pearson Test of English). A minimum score of 65 is required to be considered for full admission. Duolingo. A minimum score of 110 is required to be considered for full admission, along with the following subscores:

  • Literacy: 110
  • Conversation: 100
  • Comprehension: 120
  • Production: 85

Application deadline: Fall semester: International applicants: July 15, then rolling; Spring semester: International applicants: December 1, then rolling.

*There may be different IELTS requirements depending on your chosen course.
