What will I learn?

Our Master of Economics Program can be completed in one calendar year. Students gain advanced skills in economics and econometrics and are prepared to be analysts in the private or public sector or to pursue a Ph.D. Students can also earn a combined undergraduate and master’s degree in economics, all within four years. This program prepares students for careers as professional economists, equipped to serve academia, government, and the business world. Accordingly, this program provides a background in economics that can serve as a terminal degree or preparation for further graduate study. Emphasis is on theoretical and statistical techniques used in the investigation of empirical problems.

Entry requirements

For international students

A cumulative undergraduate GPA of at least 2.75 out of 4.00. Applicants for graduate study must have earned at least a 4-year U.S. equivalent Baccalaureate degree. Typically, 16 years of schooling with four years of full-time study at the university level, culminating with the award of a first or second degree.
