What will I learn?

UCF’s College Teaching and Leadership track within the Educational Leadership MA program prepares you to excel as both an instructor and academic leader in today’s state college system. Designed for students who want to teach and lead in postsecondary education, this track blends your disciplinary expertise with the leadership, organizational and instructional skills needed to make a real impact in the college classroom. Through this master’s program, you’ll strengthen your teaching skills in a selected discipline - English, mathematics, sciences, social sciences, ESOL, higher education or other interdisciplinary fields - while gaining insight into how state colleges operate. The coursework explores instructional practices, adult learning theory, curriculum design and higher educational leadership, giving you a solid foundation in delivery high-quality instruction. You’ll graduate prepared to teach effectively at the state college level and to contribute to program development, student-engagement efforts and instructional leadership initiatives that support high-quality learning experiences. Whether your goal is to become a state college instructor or step into a leadership role, this program helps you build the knowledge and skills required to share the future of higher education.
