We are the premiere graduate program for students training for s as Public History professionals. From archives to museum management, historic preservation and cultural resource management to public archeology, oral history to digital methods, the History MA, Public History Concentration offers distinguished faculty, rigorous coursework, and unparalleled opportunities for hands-on training in the field. The Master of Arts in History with a concentration in Public History requires completion of 33-45 hours (thesis) or 36 hours (non-thesis). All public history students must complete an internship off campus.

Entry requirements

For international students

All applicants must hold a bachelors degree from an accredited university. GPA of 2.75 (Grade Point Average of 4.0 scale) required for admission. Submit all college/university official transcripts you have earned within the U.S.
