What will I learn?

With our master's degree program in mathematics, you have the benefit of experiencing our small class sizes, specialized and experienced faculty, and the flexibility of our program to focus on areas of mathematics that interest you the most. The program is designed to take two years. Most graduate students take three courses at a time, although those with graduate assistantships frequently only take two courses. When you enroll, you will be assigned a graduate advisor to plan a program that matches your background and your interests.

Entry requirements

For international students

To be eligible for regular admission for a licensure, graduate certificate, or master's degree program, you must meet one of the criteria below - earned a minimum of a 2.75 GPA from your undergraduate degree-granting institution. Earned at least 9 graduate credit hours with a minimum of a 3.0 GPA. Have a conferred master's or doctoral degree from an institution recognized by an USDE accrediting association.Transcript/credential evaluation showing your complete academic historyApplicants should have an undergraduate major in mathematics or an equivalent background as determined by the Department of Mathematical Sciences.
